Standardbred Excellence

Promoting Performance Standardbreds

Send Elizabeth and Dreamy to the WEG!

In less than a year, the World Equestrian Games are coming to the United States on Sept. 25, 2010.  This is the first time the Games have been held outside of Europe, and nearly one-million equine enthusiasts from around the world are expected to be in attendance at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.  It will be the largest sporting event ever held in North America, with more than 800 athletes and 900 horses from sixty countries expected to compete in eight FEI disciplines. Many horsemen consider the Games to be more important than the Olympics.

As a Standardbred owner and rider, I have been chosen by the United States Trotting Association to participate in the breed demonstrations to be held Oct. 3-6, 2010.  My mare Dreamy Starlet is one of the eight Standardbreds chosen to perform and will be representing the dressage discipline.  I am honored to be able to represent the state of Maine and the Standardbred breed at such a prestigious event!

At this time, the USTA cannot provide any support for travel or accommodations to the Games.  I personally must raise enough funds to trailer my horse to the park, which is an eighteen hour drive from Maine, as well as stay there for the four day demonstration.  I am seeking donations to help get us both there!  Please consider supporting us by sending donations to PO Box 621, Cornish, ME 04020.  Checks can be made out to me personally.

Donations can be of any size; remember small donations do add up!

So far, we are halfway to the fund raising goal!

Thanks to MSBOA and MHHA for their generous donations!
